The tower crane is fixed to the ground on a concrete base connected to the mast, which in turn is connected to the motor that allows the crane to rotate.<\/p>

The upper part of the crane consists of a long horizontal jib (operating jib), the counter jib and the operator’s cabin.<\/p>

The operating jib is the part of the crane that carries the load.<\/p>

The counterarm has a counterweight, usually made of concrete blocks.<\/p>
