The tower crane is fixed to the ground on a concrete base connected to the mast, which in turn is connected to the motor that allows the crane to rotate.
The upper part of the crane consists of a long horizontal jib (operating jib), the counter jib and the operator’s cabin.
The operating jib is the part of the crane that carries the load.
The counterarm has a counterweight, usually made of concrete blocks.
The tower crane can be controlled by an operator from the cabin or controlled from the ground via a remote control.
